The challenge
People on GLP-1 medications need to track injections, weight, side effects, and pen supplies. Existing tools are generic health apps that don't understand injection rotation, dose escalation, or pen inventory. Users needed a purpose-built companion that speaks the language of their treatment protocol.
Architecture
What I built
Full injection lifecycle management with body site rotation, dose escalation tracking, and injection history. Users log each injection with site, dose, and medication, and the app suggests the next rotation site based on their history.
Comprehensive weight and body measurement tracking with trend visualization via Victory Native charts. Syncs with Apple HealthKit for automatic data capture and provides progress insights aligned with treatment milestones.
Structured side effect logging with severity ratings, duration tracking, and correlation to injection events. Helps users identify patterns between medication doses and symptoms to discuss with their healthcare provider.
Medication pen inventory system tracking remaining doses per pen, expiration dates, and reorder timing. Alerts users before they run out and calculates pen consumption rate based on their dosing schedule.
Configurable reminder system for injection schedules, weight check-ins, and pen reorders. Supports flexible scheduling that adapts to weekly injection cadences and escalation timelines specific to GLP-1 protocols.
Full app functionality available without account creation through local-first guest mode. Users can explore all features before committing, with seamless upgrade to authenticated accounts via Clerk when ready for cloud sync.
